On July 25, 2016, Mrs. Emma Leslie, the Executive Director of the Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies (CPCS) in Siem Reap, signed an agreement including a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia (PUC).
The agreement mainly focused on implementation of Applied Conflict Transformation Studies (ACTS) both master’s and doctoral degree program. ACTS is a program, which bridges the gap between academic research and the wealth of experience that exists on the ground.
Its aim is to provide locally-based international education to enable people engaged in peace and justice work in the Asia Pacific Region to maximize their effectiveness and to share their learning and research.
During the discussion, both parties further talked about upcoming projects to produce a film about making and to build a peace museum in the hope to build peace of mind through loving-kindness and compassion.
