Four PUC students of Faculty of Law and Public Affairs (FLPA) were selected to attend Global Youth Summit (GYS) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam which was held on 12-15 August, 2015.
A project of Food Scraps Composting at Home was ideally initiated by Cambodian team and was successfully won the third place in the competition, which was participated from most ASEAN countries including Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Myanmar, and Vietnam.
GYS is a youth led global platform for students to discuss and initiate sustainable solutions in order to protect natural environment. It was a great opportunity for youth to explore the themes Water Management and Biodiversity in a Vietnam context. Student delegates visited Binh Hung Waste Water Treatment Plant and Can Gio Biospheres, Le Hong Phong Gifted High School, and local community. Each country was given opportunity to show their cultures and talents. The event was concluded with the Action for Earth Concert.
