Thirteen students from Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management and Entrepreneurship, Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia (PUC) have been selected to attend a special business training program run by Handong Global University together with PUC.
Creatinnovation startup program is a part of global leadership program which is internationally recognized and supported by UNESCO. Its purpose is to find out talented young men and women from developing countries to provide them good education so that they become good leaders for their society. Creatinnovation mainly focuses on innovation and creativity for Social Development and Sustainable Development (SISD).
Prof. Diep Mounin, Lecturer of Entrepreneurship and Economics identified the purpose of the training is to allow course participants to understand social entrepreneurship, to identify social problem, to generate idea to solve social problem, to formulate social entrepreneurship business plan, and to implement business plan.
“Students who are hardworking, highly committed and dedicated are encouraged to apply,” said Prof. Chiv Ratha, Dean of the faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management. Not only students learn the theory, but also they apply in the real practice. Students who are willing to apply need to be in their third year in business specification; however, they will have to attend full time in the course which consist of two intensive and two remote.
“Successful students who design a very good business model will be provided budget to run the business as well as receive the twelve credits upon their completion of this one year program,” stated Prof. Dai-Yon Cho, Director of HGU-PUC SISD.
