Member of delegation from ESIT Consortium Universities visited Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia (PUC) to promote Taiwan’s higher education and to provide scholarship opportunities for lecturers, staffs, students in higher degree in Taiwan.
Not only, Taiwan is known as an economic development country, but also internationally recognized which stands number 13 and 16 in business and economy and 12 in training and higher education.
A project called ESIT established in 2008 aims to promote international talent quality and to introduce education in Taiwan to Southeast Asia mainly and recruit more young talent individual competent to pursue their degree. Currently, ESIT project has been working with a few countries in ASEAN such as Vietnam, Indonesia, and Thailand. “We hope it is not too far at this time to start the cooperation with Cambodia; considerably PUC,” said Dr. Cheng, Wan-Lee, Leader of ESIT Project.
To be eligible to enter the various universities under the project of ESIT, applicants shall have either International ELTS 5.5/ TOEFL 550 or Chinese Test of Proficiency-Hanyu level 4 certificate. Dr. Cheng, Wan-Lee stated that it is not quite hard for PUC students to get admitted to the university they apply, as their English is considered good.
