Dr. Fredolin Tangang, Professor of the School of Environmental and Natural Resource Sciences, Faculty of Science and Technology at the National University of Malaysia (NUM), visited Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia (PUC)
to introduce SEACLID/CORDEX Southeast Asia. SEACLID (Southeast Asia Climate Downscaling Experiment) was recently incorporated into CORDEX (Coordinated Regional Climate Downscaling Experiment), a project of the World Climate Research Programme. Dr. Tangang came to discuss how PUC can become involved in the project, and to provide opportunities for Cambodian students to pursue a Master of Sciences or PhD at NUM.
NUM was established in 1970, and is one of five Malaysian Research Universities. NUM has 13 faculties, 16 institutes, and 18 centers. The Faculty of Science and Technology is the largest science based faculty in Malaysia.
