On October 29^th2013  Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia signed an MOU with National Ocean Technology Center, China. This is the second marine cooperation agreement between PUC Cambodia and and an institute in China. The first marine agreement PUC signed was with Institute of Oceanography, SOA in 2012.

National Ocean Technology Center is the Chinese delegation from the OES-IA Executive Committee, whose duties are to promote international exchanges and cooperation in marine energy. NOTC has been engaged in ocean observation, , marine function zoning, and ocean renewable energy.These all play important roles in Chinese marine monitoring technology and in the development of the marine integration observation systems.

“The cooperative relationship between NOTC and PUC will benefit  comprehensive marine cooperation and will improve and assist  mutual communication  between Chinese and Cambodian marinescientific research institutes,” said Mr. LuoXuye, Director of NOTC.

This agreement will help in training and in implementing scientific research of mutual interest; especially in marine hydrologic meteorological observation and marine renewable energy areas. Other activities such as academics exchange visits, forums, seminars, workshops, and research will also be included.
