Congratulations to the winners of the summer camp hosted by Chiang Mai University, Thailand

After 4 weeks, the announcement came with the results of the successful candidates who will be attending the 10-day summer camp in Chiang Mai, hosted by Chiang Mai University, Thailand.

The two winners are Ms. Ly Chindavotey, who is from International Relations, and Mr. Dung Rathanak, majoring in Economics. Both of them will depart in September to learn about digital innovation; thus, helping to create their own products to compete in markets in the region and the world. 

The visit of the Beijing Jiaotong University Delegations

On June 6, 2018, President of Beijing Jiaotong University, Prof. Ning Bin and his delegates visited Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia (PUC) to seek cooperation. It was Prof. Ning’s first time in Cambodia, and it was also his first visit to PUC.

The visit of Southwest University of Political Science and Law, PR China

It was the second visit of delegates from SWUPL to Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia (PUC) after their arrival in 2016 to sign the agreement with the Faculty of Business. This visit was not different from the previous one. The delegates wished to extend the collaboration. This year they are turning their interest to the Faculty of Law.

The visit of Brigham Young University (BYU), USA

President of Brigham Young University, Dr. Kevin Worthen and his wife together with Dr. Samdra Rogers, Vice President for International Affairs visited Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia (PUC) to seek collaboration between the two institutions.

To begin with Dr. Worthen expressed his thankfulness to PUC for allowing him, his wife, and the colleague to pay the visit. In the area of collaboration between the institutions kadıköy travesti there were three main criteria, namely research projects, workshop engagement, and internships.

Memorandum of Understanding between PUC and BFSU

After last month’s visit, officials of Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU), China, signed an agreement with Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia (PUC) to build a foundation of mutual trust and development and to promote international understanding and good will.

A visit of Binus University delegates to PUC

 

On March 19, 2018, representatives of BINUS University visited PUC to explore collaboration between the two institutes. PUC Chancellor, Dr. Sam Ang Sam welcomed the arrival of the delegates. Then, he briefly talked about PUC’s background and its progress. 

The visit of the United Nation Volunteer

On March 6, 2018, delegates from the United Nation program came to Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia (PUC) to discuss about the possibility of having students volunteer in UN agencies.

It is a 2 year project which begins in July. Outstanding, responsible, proactive students with good English proficiency are highly recommended to apply via their faculty. Only shortlist candidates will be contacted for an interview and to sign the contract. The chosen students will work for 3 to 6 months due to the nature of the work. After completion, students are required to write a report of the work they have done for the period of their experience and present it to the committee.

The visit of Ritsumeikan University to PUC

Delegates from Ritsumeikan University visited Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia (PUC) to extend the collaboration between the two institutions.

After the Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific and Ritsumeikan University with PUC, there have been two visits by delegateson March 1, 2017, and on October 27, 2017. To proceed with the agreement, Ritsumeikan will begin to send their students with the assistance of its affiliate, PUC.

On September 23^rd, 2016, Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia (PUC) had the great pleasure to welcome delegates of English Language Institute China (ELIC). PUC signed a Memorandum of Understanding to continue a working relationship with ELIC, an American non-governmental organization from Fort Collins, Colorado, based on mutual respect and cooperation.

Health Education

On September 22, 2016, Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia (PUC),together with Population Services Khmer (PSK) organized a workshop related to health education for students’ information and readiness. PSK is a local organization which provides family planning services for Cambodian people.

PUC ICT 2016: Cloud Business

On October 8, 2016, Faculty of Business and Economics,Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia(PUC) organized an event in the title of cloud business with the participation of H.E. Pan Sorasak, Minister of Commerce.

ASEAN Stock Challenge

On September 14, 2016, Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia (PUC) South Campus hosted a presentation on the topic of the ASEAN Stock Challenge, a stock trading competition for Cambodian university students. The presentation was given by Mrs. Oum Chenda Pheakdey, Head of Corporate Resources for CIMB Bank, and Mr. Try Taihy, Assistant Manager of the Cambodia Security Exchange.

More than ninety percent of PSIS students successful completed high school

It was a momentous achievement of Paññāsāstra International School (PSIS) to have 92.41% of its students successfully pass their high school graduation exams in August.

Meeting with delegates of Yonezawa Rotary Club, Japan

Five delegates of the Yonezawa Rotary Club visited Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia (PUC) to discuss an upcoming project, to get geotechnical lab equipment for the School of Civil Engineering in the Faculty of Sciences, Mathematics and Engineering. In return, the Japanese delegates requested a video clip of their activities to celebrate the upcoming 10^th anniversary of the partnership between PUC and the club.

Climate Change

PUC was pleased to welcome EU Ambassador to Cambodia George Edgar to deliver a speech on climate change. The event took place on September 22, 2016 at Srey Dim Hall, PUC south campus.
